Lhasa Apso Club Championship Show Sunday 16th October 2022
 Judged by Melanie Shand-Clarke (ShanClar)

I had the honour of judging the Lhasa Apso Club Championship Show, at Stoneleigh Park, and what a wonderful day it was. To you the exhibitors, huge appreciation for my fabulous entry, it was a pleasure to judge you all with a lovely atmosphere. Thank you to the Officers and Committee for your hard work, with a very well-run show, and for my gorgeous presents. Also huge thanks to my two stewards. You were both amazing and really looked after me. Overall, with the exhibits I had today, I was pleased to see there were better quality of skull and eye shape, better front assemblies from my last appointment, and not the heavy boned examples I have seen in the past. Although, there were still a couple of examples with weak hocks and slipping patella’s, missing incisors and still dirty teeth! I mentioned last time that some are trying to move their dogs too quickly, resulting the exhibit falling onto the forehand. The weight needs to be driving from the hind quarters to obtain a free open gate. Moving your exhibits quickly does not give you the correct movement nor does it not moving them enough. Hold the lead to help to give balance, study your dogs and establish the best speed to showoff a true open gate. Total Entry - 84 / 108
