Society President Teresa Wiehe was again the coordinator for
Discover Dogs at Earls Court this year (2009)
Teresa writes:-
As usual Discover dogs was very
busy and very successful. There seemed to be more visitors than
ever and everyone manning the booth worked very hard, Saturday was
particularly busy, both Anne and myself found it almost impossible
to take a break. As in other years we had people visit our booth
from all over the world,
some visiting us for a second year running. The dogs as usual were
excellent, impeccably behaved and a big hit with the public. A big
thank you must go to all the helpers, namely Anne and John Reynolds,
Linda Owen, Elizabeth Luck, Jo Casey and her daughter, Alan Wiehe
and of course not forgetting the dogs. Many thanks also to Jan
Witham and Linda Davis, who although they couldn't be there very
kindly let us 'borrow' some of their dogs for the weekend.
This year for the first time the Kennel Club have invited us to take
part in the London Pet Show to be held on Saturday, 7th and Sunday
8th May. This will be the first time that we have attended this
event and features not only dogs put all types of pets. If anyone is
interested in helping on the booth, even for a couple of hours, at
the London Pet Show or Discover Dogs, then please let me know. Any
help will be very welcome.
